15 Years Experience

I have worked as a counsellor since 2009; previously in a charitable trust and now in private practice. I have worked with young people, adults and older adults with a variety of mental health issues in social care, university and private sector settings. I receive self referrals from allied healthcare professionals and EAP Providers.

I am passionate about enabling others to achieve their goals by building a strong working relationship where honesty, integrity, trustworthiness and professionalism are at the heart of what I do. I aim to deliver a vibrant, empathic and sensitive approach where a person can feel empowered to make changes.

I became interested in Psychology at school and went on to study BSc (Honours) Psychology at Plymouth University in Devon. During university studies I became particularly interested in clinical psychology and went on to study a Postgraduate Diploma in Clinical Psychology at James Cook University in Australia. Following these studies I decided to train as a professional counsellor and completed this training in Hereford.

I continue to further my knowledge and professional development by engaging in regular training, to ensure ethical and best practice.  I very interested in working with trauma and I am currently enjoying training in EMDR.  I have completed Part 1 and Part 2 of this training and will embark on Part 3 at the end of this year.
