Where are the counselling sessions held?
I work from my counselling room in Hereford which is situated in The Old Magistrates Court, on Gaol Street in Hereford centre. There is pay and display parking near to the building and bike racks if you are cycling. If you do not wish to attend face to face sessions but would like to work remotely, I can offer online or telephone counselling.

How long are the sessions and how many sessions will I need?
Each session is 50 minutes long and they take place at the same time and day each week – this is agreed between the counsellor and client. Some people come to counselling and are looking to only have a 6 to 8 sessions; other people want to process things other a longer time period depending on their goals or aims for therapy. At the assessment session I will discuss with you how many sessions you think you would like and your goals. If you are unsure how many sessions you would like to begin with, we can agree to review after 5 sessions and I always check
at the end of each session how you are feeling about our work together.

Do I have to commit to anything?
When you attend your first session it will give you an opportunity to see if you feel comfortable talking to me and if the way I work is suitable for you. If at the end of the session you feel that it is not for you there is no obligation to continue with sessions. If you feel comfortable working with me and decide on a certain number of sessions but then change your mind about how many sessions you feel you need, this is also fine.

Counsellor availability
Any session times and dates will be agreed upon contact between the client and counsellor.

What does it cost?
Sessions cost £50 and I request payment the day before the session via BACS transfer. Please note that if you do not give 24 hours notice when cancelling a session, the full fee will be charged. If you have any further questions please do not hesitate to contact me on the website using the contact form or by calling me on 07761693531.
